Honoring those who serve
Sports Direct | DLM Media is proud to stand with AMVETS and with every man and woman who has worn the uniform of the United States. It is an honor to support our service members, and the least we can do.
With gratitude to our service members, veterans, and military families
Freedom is never free, and we do not forget it
Every day, men and women in uniform put themselves between the rest of us and harm. They miss birthdays and holidays. They carry burdens that many of us will never see. And when they come home, they deserve a country that stands ready to stand with them.
That is why supporting our service members is something we are proud to do. For more than 30 years we have built our business on service, and we know that nothing we offer compares with what they give. Our support of AMVETS is a small token of our eternal gratitude.
Veterans serving veterans
AMVETS (American Veterans) is a national veterans service organization with a simple purpose: to safeguard the entitlements of those who have served honorably, and to improve life for them, their families, and the communities where they live, through leadership, advocacy, and service.
Founded in Kansas City
Delegates from veterans clubs gathered in Kansas City, Missouri and founded the American Veterans of World War II, so that those coming home would have a voice and a place to turn.
Chartered by Congress
On July 23, 1947, President Harry S. Truman signed the law granting AMVETS its congressional charter, a national recognition of the organization and its purpose.
Veterans serving veterans
AMVETS has grown into a nationwide organization with posts in communities across the country, open to those who are serving or have honorably served in the U.S. Armed Forces, including the National Guard and Reserve.

The least we can do, with eternal gratitude
No gesture of ours can repay what our service members have given. Standing with AMVETS is a small token of our gratitude, offered with respect, humility, and a promise to keep showing up for those who showed up for us.
Three words we take to heart
Honor
Those who serve put everything on the line, often far from home and from the people they love. Recognizing that sacrifice is not a campaign for us. It is a conviction.
Gratitude
Our freedoms were earned by someone. We are grateful for every service member, veteran, and military family, and we say so plainly: thank you.
Support
We believe in backing the organizations that stand beside veterans every day. Supporting AMVETS is the least we can do, and we are proud to do it.
